1. Tell me about yourself
I’m an telecommunication engineer from PENS with 3 years of experience in national telco company. Have some certificate such as network maintenance, traffic engineering and network simulation with cisco program. I also have some basic knowledge about programming in java, matlab and microprocessor programming.
2. What were your responsibilities?
As an telco engineer i,ve worked at backbone server room to monitor the behavior of the equipment and also repair them if there are any fault.
3. What did you like or dislike about your previous job?I liked about the progressive work from my previous job, I didn’t like the location though, its very far away, which is why im now applying this job because is closer to my home.
4. What were your starting and final levels of compensation?
It is about 4,6 Million ar the firs and second months and it becomes 5 million in the third months.
5. What major challenges and problems did you face? How did you handle them?
When I was work there the deadline time for fixing network failures was so short to minimize loss, but I managed to finish it because of teamwork.
6. What is your greatest strength?
My greatest strength is how I learned new ability quickly. Also I have good ability to work in pressure.
7. What is your greatest weakness?
I’m an introvert, which I used to regard as being a weakness because I was always shy about reaching out to people.
8. How do you handle stress and pressure?
Im pretty good at this, usually I take five minutes break and think positive about the thing for what I going to work on. And I usually make a reward for myself if I success to do that.
9. Describe a difficult work situation or project and how you overcame it.
It is when the equipment is fault in a cascade scenario, one machine is fix while others will broken. Normally we fix this issues with teamwork to minimize the time that we need.
10. What was your biggest accomplishment (or failure) in this position?
That time I success at securing very important data from data hijackers by eliminating hijackers network. That time I got some prize from my company and the customer company.
11. How do you evaluate success?
It is when I realized my work is the heart of nowadays other people need for work, education and entertainment. That makes me happy.
12. Why are you leaving or have left your job?
Its because my parents want me to get another job that have location closer to home. Iam the only child of my family, so I will have more time for my parents if I worked here.
13. Why do you want this job?
This job is my dream and also I think I have competence in it.
14. Why should we hire you?
Im a responsible person and I have competence for this company. so I think I can give some improvement to your company.
15. What are your goals for the future?
My goals is to become an successful head engineer not only for me, but also for my place I’ll work in.
16. What are your salary requirements?
I average around 4,6M annually, and I know from online salary calculators that the approximate salary here for professionals with my experience ranges from 4M to 5M. But I’m open to negotiation, depending upon your benefits package.
17. Who was your best boss and who was the worst?
My best manager had an open-door policy where we were always welcome to speak to her privately about issues. I’ve never had a bad manager. I just feel not so comfortable with the distance of previous job location.
18. What are you passionate about?
I really like music, and shooting practice is my hobby and workout
19. How about your supervisor and co workers
I think both of them is very nice and friendly, when issues arrive my supervisor will always get into fix with me and my team.
20. Do you have any questions for me?
Do you have a formal schedule and mechanism for performance reviews? How soon after hiring would I receive my first review?
